Welcome to Mirkgard library, please be sure to peruse our selection of grimoires, young adult fiction and things which man was not meant to know.
Congratulations; You have more of a will than I do, in the fact that you made it even to the "pilot drawing" stage.
I look forward to see how this turns out. You got your hosting sorted? That's like, the most important part of a webcomic save the comic itself.
Actually, that's pretty much the bit I don't have sorted out. Hopefully, at some point, my dad will get his arse into gear and turn his old desktop into a server, at which point things become much, much simpler (ie, I just need to badger someone to write the php parts of the site for me and fork out for a url). If not, I may have to temporarily host it on some crappo free site, whore myself out like a bitch and hope I get picked up by Keenspace or something. I won't have anything up for a couple of months yet anyway: I'm still writing and developing ideas, and given how lazy I am I want to have a good 20 strip/page (it's going to follow that sort of SGR format with arcs but a gag or happening each page) buffer at least before putting it online.
Understood. How about art? Going to make any progress on the teaser? Or do I have to wait and see?
I have several more sketches/concepts of various characters, as well as some scripts, a map and several pages of dense notes. I may release some maps and sketches soonish, but as said, I want to build the web-page and get a good head of strips worked up before I spring this thing up. The notes would give a good teaser, but would also totally ruin most of the prospective story arcs I've set up. I've shown them only to a few close (mostly rl) friends to test reactions. Which are generally favourable.
Looks good dude. I'm a bit bored. At uni... doing a laboratory so I thought I'd read your blooorg but you haven't updated... slacker.
